Flower Power

Happy Feast of St. Catherine of Siena, O.P.

I just read one of the earlier posts about planting all those bulbs. They all came up beautifully this spring, even though the weather in this part of the world has been really messed up. Very early we had such beautiful days! Lately it has been cold, snow, hail, rain, snow, hail, winds and more rain. None of the snow sticks around here, but really, it's almost May already!
If I was really dilligent about this stuff I would have pictures of all the croci, daffodils, tulips and other goodies that bloomed this year. Unfortunately most of it is already gone, save the awesome tulips! They are even a bit worn after our last hail storm ... it must have lasted almost an hour. Soon the lilac blossoms will be in full force and other blooms will start to show, such as the Iris ... all the flowering trees have finished their show for the year. Daliahs were planted again and they will bloom later in the summer through the fall. I think there were some miniature daliahs planted this year ... they will probably disappear behind other foliage.
Time to go ... hope your garden, where ever it is, blooms beautifully for you.

Blessings and peace.
